What is Print on Demand (POD) and How Does It Work?

Print-on-demand is a process where items are produced only after an order is placed. This means we don’t keep stock of these items, and they’re printed or embroidered when you place your order. Any items that are POD will be clearly marked on the product page, so you’ll know which ones are made this way.

How It Works:

  1. You Place an Order: Once you select your item and complete your purchase, the order is sent to our printing partner.

  2. Product is Created: The item is printed or embroidered with the design listed on the product page.

  3. Quality Check & Shipping: After production, the item goes through a quality check, is packaged, and shipped to you.

Pros of Print on Demand:

  • No Inventory: Since items are made on-demand, we don’t need to keep large amounts of stock, reducing waste.

  • Sustainability: This method helps minimize overproduction, making it a more eco-friendly option.

  • Access to a Larger Variety: POD allows us to offer a wider range of products and designs without the risk of unsold inventory.

Cons of Print on Demand:

  • Longer Processing Time: As each POD item is made to order, it may take 2-7 business days for production and shipping. This is longer than products that are already in stock.

  • Good, But Not Perfect Quality of Printing: While we ensure that all products meet our standards, POD printing may not achieve the same high level of detail or durability as traditional screen printing, which could result in slight variations in print quality.

  • Potential for Variations in Fit or Material: As POD items are made by third-party partners, there can sometimes be slight differences in sizing or fabric feel compared to our other products, though we do our best to ensure consistency.
